Okta Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a extra layer security when accessing your Okta account and Okta provisioned apps.
When logging into your Okta account for the first time, you will be requested to set up one of the follow;
Okta Verify App – The app is available for download both from the App Store (Apple devices), and the Play Store for Android devices.
Google Autheticator App - The app is available for download both from the App Store (Apple devices), and the Play Store for Android devices.
SMS - Choose to receive a code via text message to your mobile device.
Security Question - Select a question from a pre-set list. Entering a known answer to later use when authenticating.
Once a method a been setup. When logging into your Okta account, you will be asked to verify using the chosen method.
If you loose your phone (app, SMS) or forget the answer to the security question, please contact [email protected] to have the MFA method reset.
