This article covers how to connect a Bluetooth device to a Windows 10 device.


1) While logged in and on the desktop, navigate to and click on the windows search bar. Type Bluetooth into the search bar. Alternately, press the Windows keys on the keyboard and begin typing Bluetooth.

2) From the returned results, click on Bluetooth and other devices settings.



3) When the Bluetooth settings open. First check whether Bluetooth is enabled. If it is disabled, click on the radio button to toggle Bluetooth on.



4) Once Bluetooth is enabled. Click on Add Bluetooth or other device.


 


5) From the list of available options, click on Bluetooth.




6) Next, put the desired device into pairing mode. This is usually accomplished by pressing and holding the power button of the device you want to pair, down between 5-10 seconds. However, please refer to the manufacturer documentation if the advised time-frame does not work. 


7) When the device appears on the list of available devices to pair. Click on the desired device to connect it.



8) You will prompted when the connection is successful. Click on Done when you are ready to proceed.



9) The recently paired device will now be listed under the relevant heading when viewing the Windows Bluetooth settings. The device we paired were earphones with built in mic, these are listed under the Audio heading. When clicking on the listed device, you are presented with the option to Disconnect from the device or Remove device. Choosing to remove the device will un-pair it from the laptop.



That's it. You're connected.
