This article covers the Night light setting in Windows 10.


The Windows Night light feature reduces blue light and increases the warmer colours.


Enabling Night light


1) Type Settings into the Windows search bar or press the Windows key + I on the keyboard together to open the Settings app.


 


2) Click on the System tile.



3) Click on Display in the left hand column. 



4) By default, the Night light is disabled. To enable the Night light, click on the toggle button.



5) When enabling the Night light, you may see a prompt stating the Night light is off until a certain time. To reconfigure the Night light settings, click on Night light settings.



6) Here you can configure the Night light brightness by sliding the control and also set a specific time for the Night light to automatically enable and disable. 



7) When you have configured and are happy with the settings. The Settings app can be closed.


Helpful tip - A quick way of enabling / disabling the Night light. Press the Windows Key   + A to open the action centre and click on the Night light tile. If the Night light tile is grey, it is disabled. If blue, it is enabled.
