This article covers the Zoom Scheduler extension for Google Chrome. With the extension installed and signed-in to. You are able to create and add Zoom meetings directly from your Google calendar.


1) Click here to navigate to the Zoom Scheduler in Chrome app store. Click on Add to Chrome.


2) The extension will be added to the extensions bar (next to the URL bar) in Chrome. If it is not visible or you're prompted the extension is already installed. It may need to be pinned.

To pin an extension; click on the puzzle piece icon > locate the Zoom Scheduler > click on the pin icon next to the extension you want to pin


Grey Pin Icon = Extension not pinned.

Blue Pin Icon = Extension is pinned.



3) Next, you want to sign-in to the Zoom extension using your Nesta account. To do this;


Click on the Zoom Scheduler > click Sign In with SSO > enter your Nesta email address > click Continue.


Note - If you are redirected to Okta, sign-in to Okta to proceed.



4) Before proceeding. It is worth reviewing the extension settings. To do this; 


Click on the Zoom scheduler icon > click the Cog icon.


Here you can configure settings to use for each Zoom meeting created via Google Calendar.


5) If you would like to configure different settings each time a meeting is created, click on 'Allow me to specify schedule options each time' and click Save. With this option enabled, you will be prompted to configure each meeting when creating a new one via Google Calendar. With this enabled, you can configure such settings as;


  • Alternative Hosts.
  • Meeting recording.
  • Join before host.



6) Next, navigate to your Google Calendar and start to create a new event. You should see a new option - 'Make it a Zoom meeting'. If the option is not available, refresh the instance of Google calendar (press CTRL + R)


Depending on whether you have configured Zoom scheduler to 'Allow me to specify schedule options each time' will change what is experienced here. If the Scheduler is not set to 'Allow me to specify schedule options each time' when clicking on 'Make it a Zoom meeting' the Zoom meeting details will be populated in the event details pane. If 'Allow me to specify schedule options each time' is enabled, a new window will appear displaying the Zoom meeting options available. Configure as desired.

7) When you are happy with the meeting settings, add guests as needed and save the event. The Zoom meeting can be joined via the Google Calendar event, either by using the link in the details pane or clicking on 'Join Zoom Meeting'.
